 Writing from your passion is fun, can be very therapeutic and might even bring in some extra income….just ask J.K. Rowling.  Local author Michael has been writing from his passion for the past few years.  His books include Northern Colors and The Boys of Wasioja, both on the American Civil War.  Whether it’s fiction or non-fiction that you’d like to try, you are the only thing stopping you.

Michael will also be speaking on self-publishing that book you’ve finally written or are contemplating!  With electronic publishing on the rise, what options are there now in addition to print?  Marketing, printing and distribution will be covered in this part of the class.  Come join Michael for an evening of information and network a bit.

About your presenter....Michael Eckers has lived in Owatonna for twenty years (and even boasts of having three OHS grads out of the house).  Nearly retired after 33 years of federal service, Michael now writes and speaks publicly on his favorite subjects.  He has two published works with many more “on the way”.  Michael’s public speaking has taken him into more than 20 schools and dozens of civic groups throughout southern Minnesota.
