Clay for Boys (Ages 6 & up)

Whether you prefer to catch fish, collect insects, or bat home-runs – in this class you can create objects that reflect your personality and interests, be it a “trophy” fish for the wall, an immovable spider, or a pencil holder. The basic techniques of hand building in clay will be covered and students will then use those techniques to create in the clay. Plenty of examples will be available for ideas, but students will be encouraged to be creative. Objects will be created during Monday and Tuesday class; bisque fired on Wednesday; and then painted and glazed on Friday. Students will then need to pick up their pieces at the Arts Center within 2 weeks after class. Please dress for mud!
